Project Objectives

  • The main objectives of providing first aid are to save lives and to prevent casualties' condition from becoming worse.
  • To always make sure that the students, teachers, and all people present at school or at any events are safe.
  • Create an opportunity for young Royalists to gain knowledge about first aid and provide first aid with the assistance from the RCDA.

Project Overview

First Aid was provided for events throughout the year on a letter request made addressed to the Teacher in Charge of the Red Cross Society of Royal College. The Top Board Officials, Senior Committee members and the Lower Board and the members of the RCRCS engaged in these activities throughout the year. The Following events were provided with First Aid on request.

Project Details

This is one of the most prominent services provide d by the Red Cross Society of Royal College. As the major first aid provider of the College, the Royal College Red Cross Society has pledged in its vision and mission to support every event of the College through the provision of First Aid. The society has provided First Aid in every major event of the College from its inception in 1978. This year the Royal College Red Cross Society has been successful in providing First Aid in collaboration with the Doctors Association of Royal College to every event of the College which requested for First Aid in its best ability

  1. Annual Pirith Chanting Ceremony and Perahera

    • Date: 24th/25th of January 2020
    • Venue: College Main Hall
    • Duration: From 05.00 pm on 24th till 10.00 am on 25th January
    • No. of First Aiders attended: 20 members

    • Two Doctors from the Royal College Doctors Association were present

    • An Ambulance was parked at Duty point
    • 2 Ambulance vehicles rode through the route

    • The ambulance was parked at duty point throughout the event
    • Major casualties were taken to the hospital
    • First Aiders also supported the Drill, Squad by hydrating the participants
