Project Vision
To enhance the capabilities of Sri Lanka’s Health Care system by
providing a large quantity of safe blood to the national blood bank
annually.
Project Mission
To donate the maximum healthy amount of safe blood annually to the
National Blood Bank thus continuing the legacy of the Royal College
Blood Donation Campaign.
Project Objectives
- To provide a solution to the shortage of blood resources in the National Blood Bank and to motivate people to donate blood.
- To spread awareness to citizens who are unaware of the possibility to donate blood during the pandemic situation.
- To assist Sri Lanka’s health care system by providing clinically safe blood.

The Royal College Red Cross Society conducted the Annual Blood
Donation Campaign for the 42nd consecutive time in 2021. This project
was carried out in collaboration with the National Blood Bank.
