Project Objectives

  • Train students on the correct methods of providing first aid to casualties.
  • Improve leadership skills of the participants.
  • Uplift the healthcare system of Sri Lanka.

Project Overview

First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person suffering from either a minor or serious illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or promote recovery. It includes initial intervention in a serious condition prior to professional medical help being available.

There may be many situations we might need to provide first aid to someone suffering an illness or injury. So, for that, we should undergo proper training and should have commendable knowledge of first aid.

Royal College Red Cross Society, as being a leading club in the healthcare and first aid field, successfully conducted the First Aid Leadership Training Program with the assistance of the Royal College Doctors’ Association for members of the Royal college Red Cross Society along with some invited schools in Colombo District.
