Project Overview

The project ‘brave heart’ is an initiative implemented by the Royal College Red Cross Society to show our gratitude towards the ex-military servicemen who fought for the betterment of our country. They sacrificed their lives for our lives. This project is a way that we show them that they are not forgotten and not alone, this is the way we express our gratitude for the sacrifices they made for our future.

Brave hearts is a project conducted with a motive of uplifting our veteran's standards of living, supplying them with necessary items and mainly to show our gratitude.

  • Provided lunch and tea for the ex-military servicemen and had a friendly discussion to show they aren’t forgotten.
  • 3 members from the project committee were present at the event.
  • Strict COVID-19 guidelines were followed throughout the event.
  • Provided the following items:
    • Lunch for 100 people, including 40 ex-military servicemen and 60 caretakers.
    • Toiletry kits for all the ex-military servicemen.
    • 1 24-inch television, as requested from the Mihindu Seth Madura, to improve their entertainment during their time in the center.
    • The television donation took place on 08.08.2022.
