Project Objectives

  • Contribute towards the benefit of our society.
  • Bring a sense of holiday and celebration during the festive seasons.
  • Distribute donations to the poor and needy.
  • Show appreciation towards daily wage workers and frontline workers in Colombo.
  • Form closer ties between the Leo Club of Royal College and the Royal College Red Cross Society.
  • Maximize the use of the combined resources and efforts of both clubs to conclude on a large note.

Project Overview

A project Happening for the first time, “Humanity 2022” was organized this year by the grade 10 batch of the Leo Club of Royal College and the Red Cross Society of Royal College. The project took place in the second week of April and was centered around the Avurudu festival.

Focusing on aiding those most in need, “Humanity 2022” is a community service project that consisted of both the Leo Club and the Red Cross Society combining their resources and distributing food parcels for beggars and daily wage workers in Colombo.

This project contributed towards the benefit of our society and bring a sense of holiday and celebration into the lives of others.

We organized a donation program to the frontline workers and to the needy people around the city of Colombo at the school premises with the presence of Assistant Principal, Senior Games Master and Staff Advisor Lion Riyaz Aluher

We Donated:

  • 300 Athirasa pieces
  • 300 milk rice pieces
  • 300 Kokis pieces
  • 300 bananas
