First Aid Workshop

Project Objective

  • Equip young Royalists with practical skills to effectively respond to various emergency situations.
  • Increase participants' awareness of basic health and safety practices beyond first aid.
  • Instill a sense of responsibility and empowerment in participants to act as first responders, bridging gaps in immediate medical assistance.
  • Creating a platform for students to network with healthcare professionals and peers, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences related to first aid and emergency response.
  • To train students on the correct methods of providing first aid to casualties.
  • To uplift the healthcare system of Sri Lanka.

The "First Aid Workshop" project, conducted by Dr. Suhail Shukry, was an initiative by the Royal College Red Cross Society to teach basic first aid to its club members. Dr. Shukry, a renowned expert in the field of healthcare, delivered a comprehensive workshop that covered various dimensions of first aid.

Dr. Shukry's speech transcended conventional first aid training. Participants were guided on how to respond to a spectrum of situations, including sports injuries, mental health crises, and various types of diseases. The workshop provided a clear understanding of healthcare, emphasizing preventive measures to stay away from health challenges.
